Practical advice to help caregivers help aging adults

Privacy & Disclosures

Respecting your privacy is very important to me.

I am generally not a very commercially-minded person. There are no ads on this website, and I don’t collect your data in order to sell it to anyone else.

I do have Google analytics installed on this website, which allows me to know which pages people visit, which websites sent them here, and so forth. This is pretty typical for a website designed to serve an audience.

I also occasionally promote this website on Facebook or on Google, because I need to let family caregivers know that I’m trying to provide useful information for them. If you come here via a Facebook ad or sponsored post, please note that this action will be recorded by Facebook. (As far as I can tell, I don’t get your name or personal details, although Facebook does tell me how many people clicked through to visit this website.)

If you choose to sign up for an event, or to receive my blog by email, then your email information will be kept within the email list management service that I use, Aweber. Aweber will not sell your information to advertisers or third-parties, and you should not receive any related spam. You will, of course, receive emails from me, and if you decide no longer want this, there is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email.

Financial Disclosures

I have no significant financial ties with any technology companies or business ventures other than my own work as a consulting geriatrician and resource for caregivers.

I don’t engage in any paid marketing or promotion of apps, products, companies, or services. I do sometimes write about an app or service that I’ve heard of, or that I’ve tried and liked.

I am occasionally paid to provide certain services to companies. This usually consists of providing focused feedback and advice regarding apps, products, and services related to the healthcare of older adults.

Generally I write about apps and products that I have no financial relationship with. If I have provided consulting services or otherwise have a financial relationship with an app or product I write about, I disclose it in the post.
